Barely Hare

Inspired by woodland animals of spring and a bark piece that had natural ears, with a corresponding vein appearing like a foot at the bottom. Without imposing a lot of deep carving or intense sanding, and in keeping with preserving the natural shape, the rabbit and its character emerged on his own. His torso appeared with a sway of natural movement - he sings his song and brings plenty of joy; "I'm Alive," 2025.

Cottonwood bark, pyrography, acrylic paint, acrylic paint

Size approx. 18” x 5” x 3”
